16:0 Ethylene Glycol or ethylene glycol dipalmitate (EGDP) comprises two palmitic acid esterified to ethylene glycol. EGDP acts as a lubricant in plastic polymer synthesis. It is devoid of genotoxicity. Ethylene glycol is the polyols for palmitic acid ester synthesis.
