General description

PCL-PEG-PCL diacrylate, average Mn 200-2000-200, is a functionalized, amphiphilic triblock copolymer composed of a central hydrophilic, biocompatible poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) block and two terminal hydrophobic, biodegradable poly(caprolactone) (PCL) blocks. PCL-PEG-PCL diacrylate can be crosslinked via free radical polymerization and/or photopolymerization to form a crosslinked hydrogel network. Hydrolysis of the esters of the PCL blocks permits degradation of the crosslinked networks.

Application

  • Tissue engineering
  • 3D printing
  • Drug delivery
