General description

S-Benzylcysteamine hydrochloride is sulphur containing organic building block. It is reported to afford S-benzylcysteamine on reaction with 0.1M methanolic NaOMe .[1]

Application

S-Benzylcysteamine hydrochloride may be employed as starting reagent in the synthesis of mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) derivatives.[2]
