Application

1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(pentafluoroethylsulfonyl)imide can be used:
  • As a model ionic liquid in the preparation of supported ionic liquid membranes (SILMs), which are employed in the studies of CO2 and N2 gas permeation.[1]
  • In the studies of solubility and absorption of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane,[2] difluoromethane,[3] and fluorinated ethanes[4] in ionic liquids.
  • As a medium for the electro-polymerization of pyrrole based monomers to yield N-(methyl)phenyl polypyrroles.[5]
