  • Reactant for preparation of calcium tetradecahydroundecaborate used for synthesizing other salts with boron hydride nido-borates
Calcium borohydride bis(tetrahydrofuran) can be used as a selective reducing agent to reduce α,β-unsaturated lactone derivatives (pterocidin) to corresponding diols without reducing the conjugated C-C double bond.
