General description

Self assembled monolayers of 2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-Octaethyl-21H,23H-porphine vanadium(IV) oxide on highly oriented pyretic graphite (HOPG) was studied by scanning tunneling microscopy. It can be used as a starting material in the preparation of the π-cation radical derivative [VO(OH)2(OEP•)]SbCl6.
