General description

Silver particles possess good thermal andelectrical conductivity and are widely used for the fabrication of conductive pastes used in solar cellmetallization.

Application

The silver powder has been used to prepare polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)-silver composite for fuel cell fabrication. The addition of silver filler enhances the thermal stability and thermal conductivity of the polymer composite.

It can be used to synthesize bismuth film electrode on a silver solid amalgam substrate. This electrode can be used as a sensor to detect electrochemically reducible organic compounds.

It can also be used to prepare polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)-BaTiO3 composites for electromagnetic interference shielding applications. The addition of silver particles improves the dielectric and shielding properties of the composite.
