Application
NIST Urea is intended for use as a primary calibrant for the measurement procedures and validating methods used in clinical pathology laboratories to determine urea blood nitrogen.

- The NIST-certified mass fraction value for urea was determined using a mass balance approach for purity assessment, and the values are metrologically traceable to the SI derived unit for mass fraction, expressed as a percentage.
