Descrizione

General description

Anti–inhibin alpha is an antibody against a peptide hormone which has demonstrated utility in the differentiation between adrenal cortical tumors and renal cell carcinoma.[1][2] Sex cord stromal tumors[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11] of the ovary as well as trophoblastc tumors[12][13] also demonstrate cytoplasmic positivity with this antibody. This antibody has been used to make the differential diagnosis of intrauterine vs. ectopic pregnancy in endometrial curettings.[13]
