Andrastin A is a meroterpenoid protein farnesyltransferase inhibitor with anticancer activity. It has been shown to inhibit the farnesyltransferase activity of the oncogenic Ras proteins and inhibit the efflux of anticancer drugs from multidrug-resistant cancer cells.
