Application
Albumin from rat serum has been used:
- as a standard in rocket electrophoresis for quantification of cerebrospinal fluid and serum proteins[3]
- in the preparation of Alexa Fluor 488 labeled fluorescent probe for confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) studies[4]
- as a component of perfusate solution for suspending rat erythrocytes[5]
Biochem/physiol Actions
Rat serum albumin (RSA) is useful for exogenous ligand transport studies. The tryptophan residue is useful in fluorescence spectroscopy measurements.[2]
