General description

The MDR Acinetobacter Millichrome plus Supplement is a selective supplement is high selectivity for multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter strains. The package contains 5 vials, with each vial sufficient for 1 liter of final media. One vial of the supplement should be rehydrated with 5 mL of purified water and then added to 1 liter of melted Acinetobacter Millichrome plus Agar base at 45-50 °C.

Application

MDR Acinetobacter Millichrome plus Supplement is a selective supplement used for screening multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter to aid in the prevention and control of multi-drug resistant (MDR) Acinetobacter, in healthcare settings and pharma production. It can also be used in hygiene monitoring in the clinical and pharma environment with surface sampling.

Packaging

5 vials (1 vial is sufficient for 1 L of final media)

Preparation Note

  • Rehydrate one vial with 5 mL of purified water.
  • Add 5 mL of this solution to 1 L of the melted Acinetobacter Millichrome® plus Agar base at 45-50 °C.
  • Stir well for homogenization

Storage and Stability

Store the lyophilized powder, in a dry place, in tightly sealed containers at 2-8°C.
