General description

Superspher® RP-select B is a highly reproducible traditionally produced spherical silica gel carriers with reversed phase properties and the hydrophobicity of a C-8 phase. This carrier is very well suited for the separation of basic compounds, but with still good properties for the determination of neutral and acidic compounds. The high performance silica carrier with a particle size of 4µm yields an excellent pressure/separation performance ratio.

Application

  • Screening, library-assisted identification and validated quantification of 23 benzodiazepines, flumazenil, zaleplone, zolpidem and zopiclone in plasma by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization.: This study discusses a comprehensive method for the detection and quantification of various benzodiazepines in plasma using liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry, highlighting the utility of Superspher® 60 RP-select B columns in achieving high sensitivity and specificity (Kratzsch et al., 2004).

  • Determination of heterocyclic aromatic amines in beef extract, cooked meat and rat urine by liquid chromatography with coulometric electrode array detection.: This research demonstrates the application of Superspher® 60 RP-select B in the precise measurement of heterocyclic aromatic amines in biological samples, emphasizing its role in enhancing detection sensitivity and accuracy (Gerbl et al., 2004).

  • Screening, library-assisted identification and validated quantification of fifteen neuroleptics and three of their metabolites in plasma by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization.: This paper presents a validated method for detecting neuroleptics in plasma, utilizing Superspher® 60 RP-select B columns to achieve efficient separation and accurate quantification (Kratzsch et al., 2003).

  • Validated assay for quantification of oxcarbazepine and its active dihydro metabolite 10-hydroxycarbazepine in plasma by atmospheric pressure chemical ionization liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry.: This study outlines a method for quantifying oxcarbazepine and its metabolite in plasma, using Superspher® 60 RP-select B columns to ensure high reproducibility and reliability in the assay (Maurer et al., 2002).

  • Determination of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor NR2B subunit blocker Ro 63-1908 in rat, cynomolgus monkey and human plasma by high-performance liquid chromatography with column switching and fluorescence detection.: This research showcases the application of Superspher® 60 RP-select B in the sensitive and specific determination of NMDA receptor blockers in various biological matrices, enhancing analytical performance (Wyss et al., 2000).
