Application

C18:1 Ceramide (d18:1/18:1(9Z)) may be used as a standard:
  • to quantify ceramide content in muscle tissue samples using high-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC/MS2)[1]
  • for the absolute quantification of epidermal lipids using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS)[2]
  • for the ratiometric quantification of sphingomyelin (SM)[3]
