Betadex is a nonreducing cyclic compound composed of seven alpha-(1–4) linked d-glucopyranosyl units.

Application

Beta Cyclodextrin USP reference standard suitable for use in specified USP compendial quality tests and assays.

Also used to prepare standard and system suitability solution for the assay and impurity analysis by using liquid chromatography coupled with Refractive index detector according to the below monographs of United States Pharmacopeia (USP) :

  • Betadex
  • Alfadex
