General description

Endothelial NOS (eNOS), also known as Nitric oxide synthase 3 (NOS3) or constitutive NOS (cNOS), is a nitric oxide synthase. It generates NO in blood vessels and is involved with regulating vascular function. A constitutive Ca2+ dependent NOS provides a basal release of NO. eNOS is associated with plasma membranes surrounding cells and the membranes of Golgi bodies within cells.

Specificity

Predicted to cross-react with mouse, guinea pig, pig, rat and dog based on sequence homology.
Recognizes eNOS/NOS III, Mr ~135 kDa.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 1181-1194 (C-QERQLRGAVPWAFD) of human eNOS/NOS III. The immunizing sequence has 10/11 identical amino acids in mouse, guinea pig, bovine, pig, rat, and dog.

Application

Anti-eNOS/NOS III Antibody, CT detects level of eNOS/NOS III & has been published & validated for use in WB.

Quality

Routinely evaluated by western blot in RIPA lysates from HUVEC cells.

Western Blot Analysis:
0.5-2 µg/mL of this lot detected eNOS/NOS III in RIPA lysates from HUVEC cells.

Target description

135 kDa
