Recombinant cysteine and glycine-rich protein 2
Application
Anti-CSRP2 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Cysteine and glycine-rich protein 2 is a protein encoded by the CSRP2 gene in humans and belongs to CRP family. It is mapped to chromosome subband 12q21.1 and this region is affected by deletion or breakage events in various tumor types. CSRP2 may have a function in controlling cell growth and differentiation.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

The Journal of biological chemistry, 271(17), 10194-10199 (1996-04-26)
Differentiated, quiescent vascular smooth muscle cells assume a dedifferentiated, proliferative phenotype in response to injury, one of the hallmarks of arteriosclerosis. Members of the LIM family of zinc-finger proteins are important in the differentiation of various cells including striated muscle.
Genomics, 44(1), 83-93 (1997-08-15)
The CSRP2 gene encoding the LIM domain protein CRP2 was originally identified in quail based on its strong transcriptional suppression in transformed avian fibroblasts. Here we have isolated a human CSRP2 cDNA clone encoding a 193-amino-acid human CRP2 (hCRP2) protein
The Journal of biological chemistry, 270(48), 28946-28954 (1995-12-01)
Here we describe a family of closely related LIM domain proteins in avian cells. The LIM motif defines a zinc-binding domain that is found in a variety of transcriptional regulators, proto-oncogene products, and proteins associated with sites of cell-substratum contact.
