Description

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ifetroban (BMS-180291) is a potent and selective thromboxane receptor antagonist. The IC₅₀ for inhibition of arachadonate or U-46619-induced platelet aggregation in human plasma is 7 nM and 30 nM, respectively. Ifetroban inhibits platelet aggregation in African green monkey 100% at 3 mpk, and blocks the contractile effects of U-46619 and Ang II in rabbit renal afferent arterioles.
