Application

Dansylamidoethyl methanethiosulfonate (MTS-Dansyl), a dansylation reagent, is used to dansylate proteins via coupling to sulfhydryls present in cysteine side chains. Dansylation of protein cysteine groups facilitates their detection and study in vivo and in vitro.
