Biochem/physiol Actions

Phenanthrenequinone constituent of Chinese medicinal herb Danshen (Salvia miltiorrhiza). Anti-inflammatory. Antioxidant. Cytotoxic against a variety of cell lines, inlcuding human glioma cells.
