Does the IgG-PE detection conjugate detect all isoforms of IgG?
1 answer-
The mean proportions of IgG subclasses in normal adult serum are as follows: IgG1: 60%, IgG2: 32%, IgG3: 4%, and IgG4: 4%. The conjugate has been tested directly with IgG1, IgG3, and IgG4 and was reactive with all three, indicating a high likelihood of reactivity with IgG2 as well. The antibody (polyclonal) was purified from human IgG Fc from human serum, making it likely to be reactive with all four isotypes.
