The mammalian Kelch-like 1 (KLHL1) was initially discovered as a homolog to the Drosophila Kelch gene that is highly expressed in several brain tissues. KLHL1 contains one BTB (POZ) domain and six Klech repoeats. KLHL1 may play an important role in organizing the actin cytoskeleton of the brain cells. Mutations associated with KLHL1 are inplicated in spinocerebellar ataxia type 8 (SCA8).
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human KLHL1.
