Application

Ucon HTF 14 is a thermoseparating polymer (TSP) that can be used in aqueous two-phase extraction (ATPE) due to its decreasing solubility in its aqueous solution as the temperature rises.[1] It is also used in a polymer coating on solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fibers using the sol-gel technique to impart thermal resistance and stability.[1][2]

Two amino-terminated amphiphilic copolymers, M600 and M1000, with different ethylene oxide to propylene oxide EO/PO ratios, 1/9 and 19/3, respectively, were coupled by thioctic acid, which allows an excellent affinity with gold surface. Then, amphiphilic thermally responsive gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)

We have previously reported that star shaped poly(ethylene oxide-stat-propylene oxide) macromers with 80% EO content and isocyanate functional groups at the distal ends [NCO-sP(EO-stat-PO)] can be used to generate coatings that are non-adhesive but easily functionalized for specific cell adhesion.
