General description

3,3′-Dimethoxy-4,4′-biphenylene diisocyanate is an aromatic diisocyanate. It participates as reagent for the curing of elastomers.

Application

3,3′-Dimethoxy-4,4′-biphenylene diisocyanate may be used for the following studies:
  • Preparation of azo urethane oligomers (PUs) by reaction with Disperse Red 19.
  • Synthesis of microporous polyisocyanurate (PICU-A) material, via cyclotrimerization over an N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalyst.
  • Synthesis of series of maleimide-thiophene copolymers having pendent 2-hydroxyethyl and 6-hydroxyhexyl groups.
