Application

2-Chloro-5-nitrobenzophenone was used in the synthesis of sulfone-activated difluoro monomers with benzoyl substituents: bis(2-benzoyl-4-fluorophenyl) sulfone and 2-benzoyl-4,4′-difluorophenyl sulfone[1].It was used in derivatization of phenols during the synthesis of 13C- and 14C-uniformly labeled catechol[2].
