General description

Trimethylanilinium hydroxide (TMAH) is an alkylating agent, which is effectively used esterification of carboxylic acids, etherfication of alcohols and N-alkylation of amino groups.

Application

It is used to derivatize the serum sample for determination of Topiramate in Epileptic patients using GC-MS analysis.
