General description

Liquid media is also termed as broth. It has nutrients dissolved in water.[1] Luria-Bertani broth (LB broth) is used in naphthalene degradation experiments.[2]

Application

LB Broth has been used to culture P. aeruginosa.[3]
Suitable for non-selective cultivation of E. coli strains for cloning, DNA plasmid production and production of recombinant proteins. Also suitable for selective cultivation when appropriate antibiotics are added.
