General description

Family with sequence similarity 69, member A (FAM69A) is a cysteine-rich type II transmembrane protein. It is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) with the help of a N-terminal di-arginine motifs. It is ubiquitously expressed in humans. Generally, the member of the FAM69 family members play a fundamental and highly conserved role in the ER of most metazoan cells, and a special role in vertebrate nervous system.

Application
