General description
Determination of the yield of digoxigenin (DIG)-labeled DNA is most important for optimal and reproducible hybridization results. Too high of a probe concentration in the hybridization step causes background, while too low of a concentration leads to weak signals.
DIG-labeled control has a standardized concentration and can be used as a standard for comparison to experimentally generated DIG-labeled probes.

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product is designed as a safer chemical. The DIG System was established as a sensitive and cost-effective alternative to radioactivity for the labeling and detection of nucleic acids. There are many available publications that prove the versatility of the DIG System, so use of radio-labeling is no longer the only option for labeling of DNA for hybridization.
Application
Estimation of the yield of DIG-labeled nucleic acids or as a control-hybridization probe in Southern blots.
Quality
0.1pg of the DIG-labeled Control DNA can be visualized in a spot test with direct color detection.
