General description

PiBMA can be prepared by free radical polymerization.[1]

Application

Poly(isobutyl methacrylate) (PiBMA) was used as a solvent in thin layer chromatography.[2] Glycidyl methacrylate grafted poly(isobutyl methacrylate) (PiBMA) microbeads can be used as super adsorbent beads for adsorption of heavy metal ions such as uranyl ions from aqueous solutions.[3]
