Application

N,N-Dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DMPD) may be used as a reagent for the determination of amoxicillin in aqueous solutions and pharmaceutical formulations by ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectrophotometry.
It may also be used for the estimation of iron and copper based on the catalytic oxidation of DMPD with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and 1,3-phenylenediamine in the presence of H2O2 respectively by flow injection analysis (FIA) coupled with UV-vis spectrophotometry.
