Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. Was für ein Rotor wird für die Filter benötigt? What kind of rotor is required for the filter units?

    1 answer
    1. This product is compatible with swinging-bucket capable of handling 250 mL bottles. Do not use a fixed angle rotor. Kindly review more technical specifications in the User Guide under "More Documents" or at this link: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/product/documents/866/336/pr03221w-ms.pdf

  2. What are the proposed adapters for centrifugation? We have a swing-bucket centrifuge in the lab, but we don´t have the proper bucket for it.

    1 answer
    1. This device is suitable for swinging bucket rotors only. These centrifugal filters measure 121 mm (length) x 60 mm (diameter) and have a maximum g-force of 3500 x g. See the link below to review the recommended rotors and adaptor for several major brands of centrifuge:

  3. What is the maximum this device can be spun without damaging the membrane?

    1 answer
    1. The maximum centrifugal force for concentrating is 3,500 × g. For more details please refer to the link below: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/product/documents/866/336/pr03221w-ms.pdf
