Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease caused by parsitic microorganisms in the Plasmodium group. Plasmodium falciparum (Pf) causes the most acute/severe form of the disease causing the most deaths worldwide. Pf HRP-II is the histidine-rich protein specific for Pf.
