  2. which Dna is used for DNAse assay?

    1 answer
    1. There are a number of DNA products that may be suitable. Many DNAse products offered are tested for activity using a DNA type I or III as a substrate. For quality control testing of product D4527, the substrate used is product D3664. This product is tested for suitability in DNAse assays.

  3. what is the approximate molecular weight of this DNA.(Cat. no. 2618-250)

    1 answer
    1. This product is a highly polymerized, high molecular weight, uncut preparation - likely tens of thousands of base pairs in length. Average size is not determined for this product.

If you would like a product with a tested molecular weight, we offer product D4764 which is the genomic DNA from calf thymus as well. It is unsheared and has the molecular weight >20 kb. Please enclosed the product web page: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/sigma/d4764?lang=en&region=GB&cm_sp=Insite-_-prodRecCold_xviews-_-prodRecCold10-2

We also offer Product D4416 which is DNA that is categorized as high molecular weight DNA with the molecular weight >50 Kilo-base pair (kbp- same as kb): https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/sigma/d4416?lang=en&region=GB However this product is isolated from adult BALB/c mice.
