General description

Reaction kinetics of sodium aluminum hydrides may be improved by mechanical grinding or chemical modification. This may result in achieving reversible hydrogen storage at lower temperatures (80-140oC). It may behave as a reducing agent.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

NaAlH4 may be used in the deoxygenative dimerization of carbonyls and alcohols and in hydroalumination of alkenes and alkynes.
Sodium aluminum hydride (NaAlH4) can be used as a hydrogen storage material with a hydrogen content of 5.6%. It can be doped with titanium (Ti) for further use in reversible hydrogen storage.
