General description

A unit of NIST SRM 968f consists of two vials, each containing approximately 1 mL of frozen human serum at one of two different concentration levels.

Application

This fat-soluble vitamin standard reference material (SRM) is intended for use in validating methods for determining fat-soluble vitamins in human serum and plasma. It has also been used for qualifying control materials produced in-house and analyzed using those methods.

Preparation Note

  • The vials should be stored in the dark at a temperature between –70 °C.
