General description
This resin is a useful tool for the synthesis of peptide aldehydes[1]. Attachment of pre-formed amino acid aldehydes to this resin is effected by heating in 1% DIPEA in MeOH at 60 °C. Following chain extension using standard protocols, side-chain protecting groups can be removed with anhydrous TFA, prior to cleavage of the fully deprotected peptide aldehyde with MeCN/water/TFA. An analogous resin has been recently used to capture and purify peptide aldehydes generated by oxidation of peptide alcohols with IBX-polystyrene [2]. Novabiochem′s pre-loaded amino aldehyde resins can be found on page x.
