General description

1,3-Dichloropropene (1,3-D) is a clear, light-straw colored liquid. It is a soil fumigant useful for preplanting control of parasitic nematodes. Co-formulations of 1,3-D and chloropicrin are widely employed for preplant fumigation in the production of high-value crops.

Application

1,3-Dichloropropene may be employed in commercial fumigant preparations. It is used as pesticide in a study to investigate the photocatalytic degradation of water-soluble pesticides (cymoxanil, methomyl, oxamyl, dimethoate, pyrimethanil and telone) at pilot-plant scale.

1,3-Dichloropropene (1,3-D) is a soil fumigant used primarily for preplanting control of parasitic nematodes. In a previous chronic dietary exposure study, 1,3-D induced an increased incidence of hepatocellular adenomas in male rats at a dose of 25 mg/kg/day. Although the mechanism

Co-formulations of 1,3-dichloropropene (1,3-D) and chloropicrin (CP) are commonly used for preplant fumigation in the production of high-value crops. Various ratios of 1,3-D to CP are available in these co-formulations. Collation of previous field data suggested that when the two
