Application

The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. Biochem/physiol Actions

PHF11 (PHD finger protein 11) is a plant homeodomain zinc finger protein, hypothesized to be involved in chromatin-mediated transcriptional regulation and immunoregulation, primarily in B-lymphocytes. It′s expression was proven to be higher in TH1-type cells, thereby making it regulator of TH1-type cytokine gene expression. Hence polymorhism in PHF11 can lead to reduction in its expression, increased serum IgE levels, therby leading to asthma and severe atopic dermatitis (AD) in childre..
