Gene Information

human ... SFRP2(6423)

General description

Anti-SFRP2 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total SFRP2 protein.
The SFRP2 (secreted frizzled related protein 2) gene is mapped to human chromosome 4q31.3. It is found to be expressed in sclerotome.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human SFRP2.

Immunogen Range: 119-168

Biochem/physiol Actions

SFRP2 (secreted frizzled related protein 2) promotes phosphorylation and retards the expression of nuclear β-catenin and inhibits the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. SFRP2 is known to enhance osteogenic differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells.
