General description
The product is anhydrous sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3). It can be obtained from Na2S2O3.10H2O by heating above 100°C. It can be synthesized from sodium sulfate.
Application
Sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3) may be used in the following studies:
- Industrial synthesis of methylene blue.
- Quantitative estimation of elemental iodine by titrimetry.
- Detection of trace levels of cysteine by employing triangular silver nanoplates (TAg-NPs).
