General description
The new vacuum seal VS-26 (Part No. 11069167) of the R-300 has completely replaced the well-known WD-26 (048021). Tests have shown that the new VS-26 has improved significantly in terms of tightness and resistance to the WD-26. The seal (PTFE / NBR) is FDA compliant and, in addition to the R-300, is compatible with older models R-210 and R-215. The scope of delivery of the VS-26 includes not only a short installation info but also the necessary adapter.
IMPORTANT:
When installing the VS-26 the order is essential to not damage the seal:
1. Fasten the steam feed-through tube in the drive of the corresponding rotary evaporator ("click" sound)
2. Place the gasket with the adapter over the DDR and press it until the adapter comes loose from the gasket (keep the adapter!)
3. Fasten the radiator as usual.
