General description
Krytox® low vapor pressure (LVP) grease is a non-reactive heat-stable lubricant.
Similiar to Krytox 240 AC, except used as high-vacuum grease. 2 oz. tube. R: 36/37/38 S: 26-36
Application
Krytox® LVP grease has been used to seal the holes in septa during Strecker synthesis. It has also been used to lubricate the O-rings of stainless-steel syringe plunger for basic continuous flow equipment: assembly of a reactor coil.
Features and Benefits
- Performs at low pressures (vapor pressures as low as -1.0 x 10-13 torr at 20 °C (68 °F))
- Suitable for extremely high or low temperatures (temperatures ranging from -15 to 300 °C (5 to 572 °F))
- Compatible even in the presence of hostile chemicals or gases
- Outperforms hydrocarbon, silicone, and chlorofluorocarbon greases
