General description

PCR grade water is sterile-filtered. It is free from exonucleases (DNAse, RNAse) and endonuclease (NICKase) and is also free from nucleic acid contamination.

Application

Water has been used:

• as a component of the reaction mixture and as a diluting agent in microfluidic RT-qPCR[1]
• as a component of the reaction mixture for the amplification of products from fungal (Trametes versicolor) DNA[2]
• as a diluting agent and as a component of the reaction mixture for the amplification of cDNA[3]
• Water has been used to make up the final volume of the sample in polymerase chain reaction (PCR)[3]
