Application

Magnesium chloride (MgCl₂) can be used as:

• An additive in the synthesis of aragonite precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) to control the polymorphism and morphological structure of PCC.[1]
• An ammonia-selective absorbent to enhance the synthesis of ammonia by Haber−Bosch process.[2]
• A precursor salt to synthesize magnesium β-ketoesterate complexes by reacting with proligand and anhydrous triethylamine in dry DMF.[3]
