Application

Streptavidin gold can be used to study biochemicals and reagents, fluorescent conjugates, fluorescent probes, labels, particles and stains, and streptavidin and avidin conjugates. Streptavidin gold has been used in a study to develop a simple, rapid, and sensitive method for visual detection of sequence-specific DNA. Streptavidin gold has also been used in a study to report the first instance of a novel application of mid-infrared chemical imaging (IRCI) for the fluorophore-free detection and identification of mycoplasma species.
For detection of biotinylated compounds.

In this paper, we describe a novel method for detecting Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157:H7 by using a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) immunosensor based on beacon immunomagnetic nanoparticles (BIMPs), streptavidin-gold, and growth solution. E. coli O157-BIMPs were magnetic nanoparticles loaded

A simple, rapid, and sensitive method for visual detection of sequence-specific DNA was developed using hairpin DNA as the recognition element and hydroxylamine-enlarged gold nanoparticles (Au-NPs) as the signal producing component. In the assay, we employed a hairpin DNA probe

A novel application of mid-infrared chemical imaging (IRCI) for the fluorophore-free detection and identification of mycoplasma species is reported for the first time. The PCR-amplified biotinylated targets hybridized to microarray probes were treated with streptavidin-gold nanoparticles followed by silver enhancement.
