General description

Morin hydrate is a yellowish pigment and a fluorescent indicator. It is used for the fluorimetric determination of several metals, mostly aluminum.

Application

Morin has been utilized in fluorescent microscopy as a fluorescent nuclear stain and as an application to detect aluminium in the brain by demonstrating metal salts.
