General description
Nerve growth factor-β (NGF-β) belongs to the neurotrophin family. The active form of human NGF-β is a homodimer, non-glycosylated chain.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Nerve growth factor-β (NGF-β) is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. It brings pro-survival effects with the help of receptor tyrosine kinase TrkA. NGF-β is associated with diabetic neuropathy and ischemic heart disease. It is also involved in airway nerve system. NGF-β is also responsible for the pain which is linked with osteoarthritis (OA). It is involved in liver fibrosis, carcinogenesis, angiogenesis and cholangiocyte proliferation.
Physical form
Lyophilized without any additives.
Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL containing 1% HSA or BSA. The solution can be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 2-7 days or store at –20°C for future use.

Cannabis contains more than 100 phytocannabinoids. Most of these remain poorly characterized, particularly in neurons. We tested a panel of five phytocannabinoids-cannabichromene (CBC), cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabidivarin (CBDV), cannabidivarinic acid (CBDVA), and Δ9-tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) in two neuronal models, autaptic hippocampal
