General description

Fenthion-sulfone is one of the metabolites of fenthion which is classified under the organophosphorus group of pesticides.

Application

Fenthion-sulfone may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of fenthion-sulfone in:
  • Fruits and vegetables and other food matrices by QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe) extraction and low-pressure gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LP-GC-TOFMS).
  • Water samples by solid-phase extraction (SPE), liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (LC-QqQ-MS/MS) and LC coupled to hybrid QTOF-MS.
  • Tea samples by QuEChERS extraction, liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) cleanup and analysis using GC-MS/MS equipped with multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) detection.
