General description

The Millex® Vial Vent (Sterile) is a medical device intended for use as a gas vent filter to sterilize air and gas as an accessory for ventilation of medical devices and pharmacy admixture applications.

Application

For use in pharmacy applications as a guard against inhaling hazardous compounds during reconstitution of drugs from sealed vials.

Features and Benefits

  • 0.22 μm hydrophobic Durapel polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) filter sealed in a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) housing attached to a vial vent
  • Vial vent spike can be inserted into a bottle with septum for venting purposes
  • Removal of microorganisms, particles, precipitates, and undissolved powders larger than the membrane’s rated pore size from gaseous solutions to limit cross-contamination
  • Compatible with most aqueous solutions
  • CE marked
